The gardens at Disney Concert Hall are the work of the über talented Melinda Taylor. Melinda and her team rescued many of the trees from residential gardens throughout southern California and brought them to their permanent home at Disney Hall. Built over the parking structure, they are “roof-top” gardens, with plants and trees growing in shallow planters underneath an uncompromising aluminum-clad façade. Carlberg Associates evaluated these trees and other plant material and made recommendations for their long-term health and vitality in this challenging location.
