LOS ANGELES METRO RAIL

Carlberg Associates has evaluated thousands of trees potentially affected by the installation of the Expo Light Rail, the Crenshaw/LAX transit project, and the Los Angeles World Airports’ People Mover.  Working with the Metro Rail Authority, Skanska and Walsh/Shea (general contractors), and various design professionals, and maneuvering thorough many jurisdictional requirements for tree preservation, we made recommendations for trees suitable for relocation and for potentially hazardous trees that could affect train safety. Work continues with monitoring of construction adjacent to trees identified for preservation.
