PRINCIPAL, CARLBERG ASSOCIATES
As principal of Carlberg Associates, Cy manages all of the projects that the firm undertakes. With an academic background in arboriculture, horticulture, and landscape architecture, she combines the three disciplines to satisfy a myriad of tree and landscape related assignments. Cy’s passion lies in educating the firm’s clients in the proper planting and maintenance of landscape plants. With over 30 years of experience, she has performed thousands of tree inventories, health evaluations, impact analyses, post-fire forensic assessments, hazard and value assessments, and historic preservation studies.

CHRISTY CUBA
SENIOR ARBORIST, CARLBERG ASSOCIATES
Christy applies her 25+ years of experience in arboriculture to projects as they relate to environmental planning, civil engineering, state and federal regulatory permitting, preparation of CEQA analyses, mitigation planning and implementation, and construction monitoring. She has performed hundreds of arboricultural and biological constraints analyses, tree inventories, health evaluations, impact analyses, risk assessments, post-fire evaluations, and tree and landscape value assessments (appraisals) for a wide variety of clients.
As an advocate of environmental education, Christy also brings eight years of teaching experience in California native flora, fauna, and ecological principles to her arboricultural consulting philosophy.

SCOTT MCALLASTER

Scott joined Carlberg Associates in 2014. His expertise includes tree inventories, specimen and native tree reports, construction monitoring, and tree and landscape resource mapping, utilizing AutoCAD, GIS and GPS technologies. Scott brings over 20 years of environmental planning and arboriucultural consulting experience to the team.

DANIEL COWELL
STAFF ARBORIST AND WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST, CARLBERG ASSOCIATES
Daniel joined Carlberg Associates in 2020. As an Envirnomental Biologist, he has performed hundreds of tree, vegetation, and nesting bird surveys. Daniel brings over a decade of experience in biological monitoring and vegetation restoration. His consulting experience includes post-fire evaluation of native and landscape plants and trees. Daniel is a Southern California Edison-approved utility forestry contractor.
